Recent Musical credits include:

We Begin Again: a musical for 2020 for The Guardian/National Theatre

Pericles and Mr Gum and the Dancing Bear: The Musical! (Olivier Award Nomination 2020, Best Family Show) both for the National Theatre.

The Beautiful Cosmos of Ivor Cutler (Vanishing Point and National Theatre of Scotland) for which he won Best Music and Sound at the Critics Awards for Theatre in Scotland.

Jim is currently under commission at the NT, working with Artistic Director Rufus Norris on a new musical, HEX, for the Olivier Theatre. December 2021.

 

Other recent composer credits include: My Brilliant Friend (National Theatre); Women Beware Women, A Midsummer Nights Dream, Love’s Labours Lost, and The Two Gentlemen of Verona (all for Shakespeare’s Globe);  Mother Courage (Manchester Royal Exchange); Romeo and Juliet, The Odyssey: Missing Presumed Dead, A Clockwork Orange,The Big I Am, (all for the Liverpool Everyman); Shibboleth (Abbey Theatre, Dublin); Teh Internet Is Serious Business and Posh (both for the Royal Court with a West End transfer for Posh)

 

Prior to this Jim was a singer and musician, touring the world. He has worked with Tom Jones, Blondie and Lionel Ritchie, amongst others.
